We got a humorous phone call the other day from a customer that said her spa cover had pulled out the fasteners. She went on to explain that snow had caused the cover to pull away from the deck.

After about thirty years of building Custom Replacement Hot Tub Covers this strikes me funny. Why? Well because the bottom of our cover is supported by the water in the hot tub. That means that no amount of snow is going to crush it because it isn’t trying to make a bridge over your spa.

Plus when snow falls, even a lot of snow, it falls in a uniform manner, meaning it won’t just pile up on one side of your hot tub and not the other. So even if you get ten feet of snow it should evenly land on the entire hot tub cover and not cause a problem.

So, in order for our customer to have a problem as she described, an avalanche of snow would have had to cascade down onto her cover. Which of course once we started talking was exactly what had happened. Several feet of heavy wet snow had slid off the roof of her house and landed on her spa cover.

Now, if a tree falls on your hot tub, is it damage that the spa manufacturer should cover? If an avalanche pounds down on your spa cover is that something that the manufacturer is responsible for?

Every winter we do a brisk business replacing rigid foam spa covers that have been crushed by the weight of snow or skewered by falling ice. Since our covers are air filled rather than foam filled, they can handle this kind of abuse much better than any foam filled spa cover ever could.

Even so, there are limitations to the warranty. Fortunately for our customer all it will take is replacing a couple grommets in the cover. If it had been a rigid foam cover it would be crushed beyond repair.

Just something to think about before you replace another hot tub cover that has been damaged by snow or ice. Check out the only true advancement in Hot Tub Covers in the last thirty years at www.SpaCap.com.

Baby shower gift baskets can be one of the easiest ways for you as the gift giver to be creative, and show the person your giving it to just how much you care about them. (...)

Baby shower gift baskets can be one of the easiest ways for you as the gift giver to be creative, and show the person your giving it to just how much you care about them. Instead of one big gift, you get to give out a plethora of trinkets, toys, and other fun items, wrapped together in a beautiful package which, in itself, can be a gorgeous thing to receive.

A popular thing to do when buying a baby shower gift basket is to let the company who makes it fashion the wicker baby shower gift basket as a bassinet, within which are all the things you want to bestow upon the new child, making your gift all the more thoughtful and appropriate. Better yet, there are so many companies out there that are experts at making these sorts of things, so even if you're not exactly Martha Stewart yourself, you can let an anonymous craftsperson make it seem like you should have your own cable show.

Within the baby shower gift basket, you'll want to include the basics, those simple bare necessities. This means, teddy bears and or dolls are a given, as any parent will know a young child can never have enough teddy bears. If you want to be gender specific, you can go for the standard pink or blue color palettes to appease notions of femininity and masculinity, but many people nowadays are shying away from such black and white notions of sex, so your best bet is probably to stay as neutral as possible.

This also means that you can go nuts and include just about anything in the toy department that you want to give the new baby. No longer do Tonka trucks mean 'it's a boy' nor do Raggedy Ann dolls indicate the infant is a girl, so take advantage of this freedom in creating a truly unique andbaby shower gift basket. Baby oil or baby wipes can be the new parent's dream as well, since they'll surely be running through plenty of both, so don't be afraid to include the practical as well as the sentimental.

If you are going to a baby shower and want to buy a baby shower game gift to help the party go well, there are some great ones on the market. (...)

Author: darkforces

If you are going to a baby shower and want to buy a baby shower game gift to help the party go well, there are some great ones on the market. There are some really fun baby word search games. These are cards that are made up of lots of letters in a big square. But when you look carefully, there are lots of words in different rows that are to do with babies. It is lots of fun and very simple to play. There is a great version of bingo just for baby showers. All of the rules are the same, but the words that are attached to the numbers are all changed so that they are all to do with babies.

If you want a more useful baby shower game gift, then you could try the baby trivia games. This is where you have cards that have questions on them that are all to do with babies. This is not only a good game but it is also very helpful for the new mom and a fun way of showing off her new knowledge. The clothespin game is where each time someone in the room says the word baby, the person that hears them gets their clothespin. At the end of the baby shower the person with the most clothespins is the winner.

Baby firsts is a baby shower game gift that takes all of the best times for a baby such as learning to walk, on a card, but they are all mixed up and the first person to get them in the right order is the winner. Baby shower scratch cards are very popular. They are like lottery cards. When you scratch off the cards, most of them have the dad not doing too well when the mom is not there. But the winning card has the mom on it
.
There are a lot of different baby shower game gifts and they are a really good way to make the party go well. They are really good if the people at the shower do not know each other. If some are friends, some are family and some are from your work. They are a really enjoyable way to get them having fun. So if you want a good way to make sure that you party is good you should get some baby shower games as they are a great way to make sure that it goes well.

Decades ago, conventional wisdom led women to conceive that they were extremely fragile during pregnancy. (...)

Decades ago, conventional wisdom led women to conceive that they were extremely fragile during pregnancy. This meant halting all physical activities much as exercise and basically becoming a couch potato. Thankfully, today women know better than that.

Exercise does wonders during pregnancy, because it greatly improves your overall health and wellbeing. It boosts mood, enhances the quality of sleep, reduces pregnancy aches and pains, and prepares you for childbirth by strengthening muscles and building endurance. This is especially important because during pregnancy and childbirth, a woman's body is subjected to a great deal of stress. Exercise also makes it much easier to get back in shape after your baby's born, and helps ease constipation, backache, fatigue, varicose veins, circulation problems and other health issues related to pregnancy.

The most recommended exercises for pregnant women are walking, swimming, yoga, stretching, and low-impact aerobics. Pelvic exercises called Kegel exercises are also beneficial to the expectant mother, helping to strengthen the pelvic floor. The pelvic floor muscles hold the uterus, bowel, and bladder; these body parts are put under pressure during pregnancy and childbirth.

Before beginning an exercise regimen during pregnancy, it is important for women to first consult your aid provider. This is to eliminate any possible medical conditions much as preterm rupture of membranes, pregnancy-induced hypertension, preterm labor, persistent second- or third-trimester bleeding, poor fetal growth, incompetent cervix or multiple-birth pregnancy which may preclude a pregnant woman from exercising. Women must also take care not to become overheated or dehydrated while exercising. An increase in core body temperatures in early pregnancy crapper cause fetal defects, and dehydration in late pregnancy is associated with premature labor. This crapper be avoided by drinking plenty of fluids and wearing loose, comfortable clothes. You must wear a brassiere providing full hold to the breasts and shoes that provide artefact for your measure or joints. A warm-up and cool-down phase should be included in any exercise regime, with an emphasis to gentle stretching to preclude muscle strain, muscle cramps and joint injuries. Knee joints are more prone to injury because of the pregnancy hormone relaxin, which softens ligaments and tendons. Avoid exercises on your back after the first trimester or whenever you see dizzy, lightheaded or nauseated because the weight of your womb puts pressure on the vein responsible for returning blood from the modify body to the heart.

If you already had an exercise regimen preceding to becoming pregnant, you crapper probably still work out at the same level during pregnancy, as long as your body is comfortable and your doctor gives his blessing. Generally, extremely vigorous physical activity is not recommended during pregnancy. This includes contact sports, much as football and basketball; undertaking sports, much as water skiing and ventilator diving; and sports that carry a high risk of trauma, much as horseback riding and downhill skiing. The best way to gauge if you are overdoing the exercise is if you experience symptoms much as chest pains and vaginal bleeding or uterine contractions. This is your cue to stop exercising immediately and seek medical advice.

Many hospitals and fitness centers are now offering exercise classes especially for pregnant women, which allow participants not only the opportunity to exercise but to be in the company of others like themselves. This lets them share their aches and pains with someone who really understands how they feel, therefore building the wide hold system which is important to women. The way you see and the way you look during pregnancy and as a new care depend on how you take care of yourself during pregnancy regarding fasting and exercise. By eating a sensible fasting and by exercising on a regular basis, you crapper maintain or improve your fitness and health during this time when there are extra demands on your body.
